Agent Omega, a top operative with Escape Time Agency, has recently been killed on a mission. Before he died, he set up a hidden headquarters in the heart of Rome in the year 182, where he secured highly confidential documents that could compromise Escape Time’s operations. These files are critical and must not fall into the wrong hands.

Your mission: travel back in time using Escape Time\u2019s MRT8 time machine and locate Omega\u2019s hideout. Once in ancient Rome, you\u2019ll need to navigate the narrow streets, uncover secrets, and reach Omega\u2019s quarters to retrieve the documents.

But be careful! You\u2019ll only have one hour. After that, the MRT8 won\u2019t be able to bring you back, and you could end up stuck in the Roman Empire. Good luck, agent. The fate of Escape Time is in your hands!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

As Project Manager and Game Designer, I was responsible for every aspect of designing the escape room, from gameplay mechanics and puzzles to the storyline.

Budgeting played a crucial role in the process, managing the budget, coordinating with external contractors, and selecting materials, all had to be carefully planned to deliver an unforgettable experience for players while ensuring profitability for the company.

Although I had considerable creative freedom in the room\u2019s design, there were still some constraints to work within. The narrative had to align with the Escape Time universe, and the puzzles had to be as accessible as possible, ensuring that people with disabilities could still enjoy the experience.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In this scenario, players are tasked with retrieving confidential documents hidden in the headquarters of a deceased agent from Escape Time, located in the heart of Ancient Rome. To get there, they travel aboard a time machine. However, the journey doesn\u2019t go as planned: after a malfunction requiring a manual restart, they find themselves stranded in the middle of Rome’s streets.

Left to their own devices, players must explore shops and underground tunnels to find a way into the agent\u2019s headquarters. Along the way, they will need to solve puzzles and perform certain rituals to move forward.

The mission is of moderate difficulty and accessible to all, without requiring any specific knowledge. It offers a balanced mix of exploration, manipulation, and problem-solving. Special attention has been given to immersion through strong environmental storytelling: the scenery tells the story, and every detail, from signs of past activity to the wear and tear of the surroundings, along with a realistic sound environment, brings the ancient city to life.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
